Jeet Kune Do and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
The study of Jeet Kune Do and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu will cause you to get in better shape, improve cardio, reduce stress, and lose weight if you want. Below is a "before and after" photo of myself which demonstrates a 50+ pound weight loss from training in just one year. The physical training will include learning a devastating system of self defense against one on one assaults, group attacks, weapons defense, and tactical shooting. You will know what to do, when to do it, and how to do it. This is our most popular course. Learn the art created by the legendary martial artist Bruce Lee and the most effective grappling system ever in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Our JKD and BJJ course includes the study of Filipino Martial Arts.
Intensive Personal Training Program
This program is perfect for the individual that wants to learn quickly in private sessions. While the program is more expensive, statistics reveal that one can learn 7-17 times faster in private versus group training. This is a 10 hour course that is identical to the course taught by Sifu Vunak in California. The candidate for this program will have a desire to become an instructor in Contemporary Jeet Kune Do. One does not need to be in great shape or have experience for the ETC; however, one does need to have a desire to be an instructor. Attendees will lose weight, get in shape, and learn how to become an Apprentice Instructor in Jeet Kune Do.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Our Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program incorporates both self defense and sport Jiu Jitsu. We consider it so important that training in BJJ is mandatory for advancement to instructor level in Jeet Kune Do. It is a great way to get in shape, lose weight, and learn how to defend yourself. Students earn verifiable rank in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu when they can demonstrate competence in the movements for the belt they are working toward. We are not a "time in" school. You don't earn rank by showing up for a certain number of classes. You receive the rank when you have earned it. Students that choose this option will have a desire to embrace a Jiu Jitsu lifestyle that involves a healthy diet, clean living, and commitment to learning the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Shootfighting
Shootfighting is a combination of Muay Thai kickboxing and full submission grappling. This is a very serious art. While the grappling contains chokes, it focuses on neck cranks, arm breaks, and a variety of leg locks that are illegal in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournaments. Classes are great for losing weight, getting in shape, and learning how to become a complete fighter. Each class contains some Muay Thai training and no gi grappling. The focus is on transitioning from stand up to the ground. While statistics inform us that approximately 70% of all fights end up on the ground, they all start on their feet. Tracy's Kenpo
The study of Tracy's Kenpo will benefit the body and spirit. It is the largest system of Kenpo in the world. The word "Kenpo" means "Fist Law." It has its roots in China. Our program consists of the art as it was traditionally taught. At its foundation, the program is geared to those who want to have a healthy life style and be ready to defend themselves and their families. Practice of Kenpo will reduce stress, improve concentration, and provide self defense training. Much of the class involves practicing solo exercises and fight routines. The student will learn specific responses to different types of attacks. The memorization of forms (Katas) will increase mental clarity and focus. Kenpo training can change your life. You will have greater confidence and the satisfaction that comes from accomplishing a goal. Our Kenpo students all receive private training with the Sifu Jenkins.
